FORGET TOMORROW TRILOGY - Pintip Dunn

I love books that deal with time and time travel and our future and our past and our present. I dont even know why because I find the concept of time traveling so flipping ridiculous. But the authors always write about it with fancy terms and it just sounds so real — and ridiculous at the same time and I love the paradox between those two.

Callie Stone is nothing if not your stereotypical hero. Actually all of them are, Callie and Jessa Stone, and Olivia Dresden. I mean, honestly, the books are good, I really liked them, but could Mr. Dunn have followed the stereotype of the shy, humble, quietly brave girl hero anymore to the letter? I mean, it’s not until near the end of the books that you realize that this stereotype is so predominant because the girls doubt themselves so much and are just so teenage-y that you don’t realize their underlying hero-ness.

In any case, the plot is amazing. And I love the couples formed in this book. I still dont know which one I like more — or who I want for myself (wink, wink).  But the aame thing happened to me with this book series as with Caragh O’Brien’s Vault of Dreamers, I re-read the books because the sequels came out so much later than when I read the books and just, i have no more potent feelings towards these books. Ay, so sad.

Anyways, these books are totally recommended. Read them.
