This book... is terribly heartbreaking, inspiring, and plain sad. I have never read a book so terribly real, a story so so sad, and still with so much hope in it.
Charlie Davis. A girl in pieces, cut open by glass, draining her sorrows one cut at a time. Sometimes, life becomes so overwhelming, that the only thing that takes you away from your pain is more pain. With every cut, Charlie loses a bit of herself, her heart hardens just a bit more.
With every cut she forgets about her father and the river, Fucking Frank, her loveless mother, her best friend. She makes herself hurt enough to not care. And still, with so much hurt, so much blood, Charlie hopes to stop.

This book is incredible. The story of Charlie, told from the first perspective, allows everyone to experience her despair, her hurt, her sadness, her relief, her disappointment alongside her. We see just how bad some people have it, how messed up the world is, how unfair. And we see how one rises from the pain, how there is always a light at the end of the tunnel; how there is beauty everywhere and in everyone, no matter the scars, no matter the hurt.
More than recommended, this books is a MUST. READ IT.
I LOVE YOU ALL. I LOVE YOU ALL. I LOVE YOU ALL.
