We should look for people who see the same world we see. Not settle for those who don't.

I really do think that John Green might be a genius brought down to Earth from another universe to enlighten us – every other person in the universe – with his incredible brain.

When reading his books, there are just things that he says, that I've never really thought about, or never had the concrete thought developed in my head, and I read it in one of his books, and my brain lights up. Look at this:

"Anybody can look at you. It's quite rare to find someone who sees the same world that you see." - Turtles All The Way Down, John Green.

I mean, we all think about that, when trying to find a friend, a best friend, a boyfriend, a girlfriend, our significant other, etc. But he phrases it in such a splendid, simple way, that well... I was left speechless for a few seconds when I read this.

This quote just tugged one of my heart strings, and I'm going to save it there for future references; because sometimes – and I am being very general here – sometimes we settle for something or someone we don't really want, because we think it is all we deserve. This quote, in a way, shows you it is not.

We should look for people who see the same world we see. Not settle for those who don't.
