All. The. FEELS. I mean, it was to be expected anyways. When authors such as Adam Silvera and Becky Alvertalli pair up, nothing less than AWESOME and TERRIBLY CUTE and FUNNY is to be expected. Ayyy why am I such a romantic? Don’t we all dream of a meet-cute? The universe nudging a random, extremely hot, guy for you to meet. At least I do, and gosh if this book, if Arthur and Ben’s story, didn’t absolutely make my heart flutter and my hopes rise. Of course that was New York, where there are so many different people, while I am stuck in a tiny country. One can hope, though.
Arthur is short for a guy, beautiful in an understated way, has absolutely no filter and talks. So much. He has no chill. At all. He’s nice and charming and have I mentioned pretty? Ben is Puerto Rican (I’m partial to Latinos, sorry - we’re from the same team), effortlessly handsome, has freckles (which, once again, I’m partial to). They’re both nerdy and hopeless romantics themselves.
“I guess that’s any relationship. You start with nothing and maybe end with everything.”
They meet, and it feels like the universe is trying to tell them something. It just ends up being different somethings. But what if their somethings were the same? What if the universe nudged them into each other’s path? What if?
But do you know how hard it is to bump into the same random dude in New York City? I mean, come on. It just doesn’t happen. And both Arthur and Ben knew that. The universe is just making them work for it.
This book is absolutely recommended. Read it.
