Two broken people find each other, and their love blooms. "We have to do risky things sometimes, to remind ourselves that we're still alive." Throughout the book, the mystery is kept alive. What happened to Alvie? Why is she so broken? Why is she so... eccentric? Of course we find out, but later on in the book. Sometimes even when it is hardest, the best thing to do is get out of our comfort zones. The good things aren't easy to get, the good things in life are probably the ones that are the hardest to achieve. Which is why, Stanley Finkel is so good for Alvie; because there is nothing harder for her than to let people in. This book is thoroughly recommended and approved. It gives us an insight into how people with mental discapacities deal with daily lives, how labels and stigmas are a constant struggle. READ IT. I LOVE YOU ALL. I LOVE YOU ALL. I LOVE YOU ALL.
